Reggae was big in 1993 with hits by the likes of Big Mountain, Jimmy Cliff, and UB40; Toni Braxton recorded her debut album while Janet Jackson charted hits from her fifth studio effort; and in dance music Culture Beat gave us “Mr. Vain,” Haddaway gave us “What is Love?” and Robin S. had a dance/crossover hit with “Show Me Love.”
